Mayor of Berezovskiy Vyacheslav Brozovskiy held a meeting with the deceived co- investors of Noviy Grad on December 21, 2006, Vasiliy Ganzhin, Chairman of Right to a Dwelling, a non-profit organization, said to UrBC representative.

‘Mr Brozovskiy spoke about the building constructed by Noviy Grad in Berezovskiy. People who invested money in this building prepared a report on its condition and on the failed deadlines. Noviy Grad promised to put the ten-storey building in commission in the fourth quarter of 2007 and started signing agreements at the beginning of 2005,’ Mr Ganzhin said.

‘Yet Mr Brozovskiy observed that the builder had no legal grounds for collecting money as it did not even have the right to the land or the building permission. Even though it did collect the money, the construction was not even started, and only the building crane has been present at the site for almost two years now,’ he noted.
