Metallurgical Industrial Complex of Nizhniy Tagil JSC (part of Evraz Group) has been developing new software needed for No. 5 blast furnace, No. 5 cokery, and circulation degassing device at the converter shop. All these bits of equipment are controlled automatically, and every units has a special program with a database and monitor unit. The company’s computer programmers are now fixing the order in which the facilities should function in order to perform best and designing a supporting set of programs to be included in the company’s information network.
The united activity-monitoring management system was introduced at the Complex in 2002. This system provides for real-time monitoring of all of the company’s departments, including production, commercial and financial divisions, the spokesperson for Evraz Group said to UrBC representative.
