Metallurgical Industrial Complex of Nizhniy Tagil patents 2 inventions

3 July 2007 (08:56)

Metallurgical Industrial Complex of Nizhniy Tagil (part of Evraz Group) had two of its inventions patented, which can be officially verified by two writs of protection issued by Rospatent (the state intellectual property, patents, and trademarks agency). The company now has all the rights over the inventions that were launched on its premises in 2006. These have never been used anywhere before, and the economic benefits of using them are now being evaluated. The models were designed by the company’s metallurgists themselves, the spokesperson for Evraz Group reports.

The employees of Metallurgical Industrial Complex of Nizhniy Tagil thought up a special laser length and speed indicator used in rolled metal production. The device is employed at the broad-flanged beam shop to make sure the products have the parameters one needs. Then, some experts from a metallurgical plant based in Nizhnyaya Salda (Metallurgical Industrial Complex of Nizhniy Tagil’s subsidiary) suggested using a new technology that could improve the quality and reliability of clip fastening units that happen to be the plant’s main product.

The company’s workers have already placed seven more patent applications with Rospatent; Metallurgical Industrial Complex of Nizhniy Tagil has received 494 patents in 50 years altogether.
