Bank of Russia to start payments to 2405 Granite Bank depositors

On February 17, 2006, The Board of Russian Central Bank decided to start payments to the depositors of the bankrupt Granite Bank. The Bank of Russia will pay 2405 depositors within the period of March 6 to July 6, 2006. The total amount of payments is to come to 122.4 million RUR.
ImpexBank won the competition to become the intermediary bank as it asked for the smallest commission payments and possesses the greatest number of subsidiaries and offices.
The amount of money allotted to each depositor is determined by the whole sum the bank owns to them but the payment will not exceed 100,000 RUR minus the preliminary payments and the bankrupt bank’s claims to the depositor.
