Coal company of Chelyabinsk assesses its achievements in January 2006

9 February 2006 (11:50)

Due to extremely cold weather in January 2006, Chelyabinskaya Ugolnaya Kompaniya JSC, Coal Company of Chelyabinsk, had to cut back on its coal production and thus fell behind.

As the company’s spokesperson said to UrBC representative, the cold temperature also caused an inversion of Korkinskiy open-pit mine, the company’s flagship. This lead to a 15% backlog of work (compared to the monthly production plan).

The total output of coal comprised 193,000 tons in January 2006, of which 129,000 tons (67%) were extracted from the mines.

Korkinskiy mine and Section # 2 excelled the plan by 2% and 3%, respectively. Korkinskiy mine also did 290,000 cubic meters of daylighting.

Kapitalnaya mine produced 75,100 tons of coal, which exceeds the plan by 19,100 tons.

The company exceeded its exploration plan for January by 15 meters, with the total length (considering all the mines) being 725 meters.

182,000 tons of coal were delivered to the suppliers in January 2006, most of which (97,000 tons) went to the generating company of Chelyabisnk.
