Price levels of basic regional economic branches produce throughout October haven’t changed dramatically compared to September levels, as was indicated through an economic survey for Sverdlovsk Region carried out by the staff of the General Department of the Bank of Russia in Sverdlovsk Region. Among the respondents were eighty-four enterprises working in various economic branches.
The proportion of businesses that had the prices go up is one percent smaller compared to the previous month (16% in October vs. 17% in September), the leader among those enterprises being non-ferrous metallurgy. Still, according to 45% of respondents, businesses are experiencing an increase in production costs, which is particularly true of building supplies industry and chemical and petrochemical industries.
