UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 27, 2019. EVRAZ Holding’s Raspadskaya Coal Company improved its Production & Industrial Safety Management Center’s performance potential, the company’s PR Department reports.

‘The idea behind creating the center was to boost performance efficiency through providing the company’s management and employees with up-to-date, full information on the tech processes in progress at our member enterprises. The center united all the earlier solutions that collect, process, and transfer data from all of our enterprises into a single structure,’ the company says.

A few years ago, a single dispatcher base for data collection and visualization was set up at the company. The base was also used to send text messages and email notifications to alert users to excess methane, carbon oxide, and dust emissions. A number of automated calculation systems to keep track of methane content, account for idle times of the mining appliances, and monitor the company boilers were introduced as well. Finally, an information system on in-process records management was set in place as well.

Within the last two years, the company has also made it possible to access the data remotely for further analysis, to track the aero-gas control electrical fitters’ movements, and to schedule methane sensor checks. The work on underground surveillance system began as well.

This year, Production & Industrial Safety Management Center switched to Wonderware System Platform, an adaptive scalable platform for operations control apps that lets a company fully integrate all production processes on site.
