ChelPipe Group: Students on Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Program Win Prizes at WorldSkills

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 4, 2019. ChelPipe Group’s representatives won prizes at the 45th International WorldSkills Championship in Kazan. This is the first time the international round of the championship has taken place in Russia, bringing together 1,500 people from 63 different countries.

According to the Group’s press service, student on their Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Corporate Training Program in Pervouralsk Alexander Galkin and the program alumnus Konstantin Komlev won silver in Future Skills/Robotized Welding.

‘The four-module challenge included making a metal structure of a clock mechanism using plasma-beam cutting and welding deposition. The judges looked into both the tech parameters and the creative approach the contestants could apply,’ the press service says.

Student on the Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Corporate Training Program Ignaty Yevdokimov won a medallion in Industrial Mechanics & Assembly; his task was to assemble a reduction unit, a pneumatic circuit, and a climate control air compressor.

Students from Pervouralsk competed with the championship participants from Germany, the United States, China, France, and Russia.

ChelPipe Group joined in the WorldSkills Movement in 2012 and has won 137 medals so far.
