FORES to Invest RUB 170m in Gas Cleaning Plants

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 22, 2019. OOO FORES keeps upgrading its facilities as part of the company’s environmental program. For one, the company replaced all the 300 sleeves of the spray-drying tower’s RIF 300 filter at Production Line 5 in Asbest branch, their press service says.
According to FORES’s representatives, the filter was first installed and launched in 2018 as part of a production experiment.
‘Three spray-drying towers were involved in the experiment: the ones in our Asbest and Sukhoi Log branches and the one at our Shadrinsk-based partner company TekhnoKeramika. An original idea proposed by engineers at Chelyabinsk-based Albokos, in combination with the advanced filtering materials available, resulted in our replacing the old gas scrubbers with sleeve filters. The old appliances did ensure the necessary level of cleaning as well, but the new filters trap up to 99.9% of all the dust and are many times more efficient. This helped us build on our environmental reserves,’ the company says.
The success of the experiment has meant FORES could introduce the gas cleaning plant replacement programs at all the other spray-drying tower units. RUB 170m will have to be invested all in all. FORES won the EcoBestAWard 2019 for this environmental project in July.
