UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 12, 2019. First resident companies came to operate in Priority Social and Economic Development Areas in Novouralsk, Sverdlovsk Region, and Seversk, Tomsk Region, Rosatom TVEL’s press service reports.

‘Uralsky Zavod Kapitalnogo Remonta is the first resident business in Novouralsk. The plant deals in machine/equipment repairs and assembly. Under the terms of the business plan, the company will set up a modern enterprise to do capital and scheduled repairs of mills/equipment, to design spare parts for customers, and to develop new engineering solutions for the machine tool-building and industrial equipment industry,’ the press service says.

According to CFO at Uralsky Zavod Kapitalnogo Remonta Nikolay Pilyayev, the plant is scheduled to get launched next week.

‘One of the greatest advantages of becoming a resident company within the Priority Social and Economic Development Area is the lower amount of employee insurance-related tax: we only have to pay 7.6% instead of 30%, which leaves us with more cadre development options. There’s also a considerable profit tax relief. Finally, Novouralsk Priority Social and Economic Development Area is subject to preferential customs regulations, so we can purchase, truck in, and customs-clear the equipment on better terms; this benefits both the plant and the partner enterprises operating in this and other Priority Social and Economic Development Areas; there are going to be quite a few of them around soon,’ Pilyayev says.
