Sverdlovsk Region-based defense enterprises discuss cooperation with Novouralsk nuclear companies

December 24, 2013. The top members of Sverdlovsk Region Defense Enterprises Union and of Sverdlovsk Region division of the All-Russian Union of Russian Machine-Builders met at UEKhK (a member enterprise of Rosatom’s Fuel Company TVEL) in Novouralsk on Deceber 19, the company’s press service reports.
The meeting attendees spoke about the opportunities for cooperating with Novouralsk Industrial Cluster member enterprises and looked at the produce of member companies of the Association of Nuclear Industry Enterprises - UEKhK, AMK UEKhK, Uralpribor, NNKTs, Ural Plant of Gas Centrifuges, and Pioneer.
‘The defense sector enterprises are now elaborating their development vision for 2014-2020 and are thinking of what foundation to lay for this future work, UEKhK and its daughter companies should definitely become the driving force for this process, says Sverdlovsk Region Defense Enterprises Union’s Director-General Vladimir Shchelokov, who thinks highly of the Novouralsk Industrial Cluster member enterprises’ potential.
The meeting was actually coordinated very well in terms of organization, and the participants in the event were very much in favor of having this Association of Nuclear Industry Enterprises as well as were satisfied with the amount if information provided on what UEKhK and its daughter companies had to offer. Every participant could think of a production sector that they could concentrate on when working with Novouralsk-based manufacturers.
