19,000 kg of Fake Designer Clothing Detained in Chelyabinsk Region

UrBC, Chelyabinsk, July 1, 2019. 19,000 kg of fake designer clothing (the imitations of Gucci, Calvin Klein, Adidas, Reebok, Nike, and Puma) got detained at Chelyabinsk Region Customs. The clothes were meant to have been sold in Perm, Ural Customs Administration reports.
‘A car loaded with goods was traveling from Leninskoye, Chuysk Region, Kyrgyzstan, and got halted at A 310 near Troitsk Customs Point. More than 8,000 fake designer items were found inside, including sportswear, footwear, socks, and T-shirts bearing famous logos. The damage done to the trademark owners has been preliminarily estimated at more than RUB 12m,’ the news goes.
The goods got confiscated and handed over to Troitsk Police Department. Criminal action, with charges based on Article 180 (Part 1) of Russia’s Criminal Code is being considered.
