EVRAZ ZSMK’s OR50 Rails Get Certified with Russian Railways

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, March 7, 2019. EVRAZ Consolidated West-Siberian Metallurgical Plant (EVRAZ ZSMK) got its OR50 NT260 rails for compliance with the Russian Railways’ standards,’ EVRAZ Holding’s PR Department reports.
‘Russian Railways representatives and the plant’s own experts carried out a number of qualification tests together. Rail samples were also sent to the All-Russian Railway Research Institute (VNIIZhT), which confirmed the rails were very good quality,’ the Department says.
EVRAZ ZSMK is Russia’s only enterprise that makes OR50 rails for track-switching sections of the railroad. These are mainly the switch gear manufacturers, Russian Railways, and subways in Russia and the CIS that buy this product.
