ChelPipe Group’s LDP Shipments Go Up 16%

25 November 2019 (09:20)

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 25, 2019. Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant (ChelPipe) shipped 3.9% more goods to customers in January-September 2019 than in January-September 2018 (1,581,000,000 kg altogether), the company reports.

The company’s supply of large-diameter pipes to customers rose by 15.8% and amounted to 699,000,000 kg; OCTG shipments increased by 9.8% and amounted to 358,000,000 kg.

‘The increase in the amount of pipe produce we shipped to customers in the nine months of 2019 against one year earlier has to do with our export market activity. Thanks to joining the Saryarka Pipeline Project and the TAPI Project, we shipped 213,000,000 kg more of LDPs to the CIS member states than one year earlier. We remain the weld-less industrial pipe market leader thanks to the unique range of products we offer and thanks to our produce’s impeccable quality, and we keep providing a steady supply of pipes in response to customers’ needs. On the whole, the stable demand for our weld-less pipes and the contracts we have for more LDP produce mean the overall amount of shipments we’ll have processed by the end of the year will rise considerably against the previous years,’ says ChelPipe’s Director-General Boris Kovalenkov.
