UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 20, 2018. Jet Infosystems completed its multi-aspect information security audit of the Ural Bank for Reconstruction & Development’s payment systems. Based on the results of this audit, a set of short-term steps and a long-term strategy might get taken and adopted, respectively, in order to reduce fraud risks and improve the bank’s information security processes, the UBRD’s press service reports.
The infosecurity audit touched upon ten of the bank’s payment systems, their system and application software configurations, and the firewall access control rules for the protected parts of the payment systems.
‘Making sure our customers get high quality, reliable services is the key issue our information security experts work on. This is why we keep track of the cybersecurity level all the time. Special attention gets paid to the payment procedures our bank handles. We believe it is only the proactive testing for vulnerabilities that can help minimize infosecurity risks and thus prevent financial risks. This is the reason we invited this hybrid-type audit in: not only did we get checked for formal compliance with the regulatory authorities’ requirements, but we also had a comprehensive, multi-aspect examination of our entire payment process,’ says the UBRD Information Security Center ’s Managing Director Alexander Paderin.
