UrBC, Yekaterinburg, October 11, 2018. The Ural Bank for Reconstruction & Development (UBRD) now offers all of Samsung Pay options to the bank’s MasterCard holders. Customers who have both a UBRD-issued MasterCard and a Samsung device can pay for their shopping using their smartphones, the bank’s press service reports.

‘We’ve already launched Samsung Pay for Visa holders a bit earlier,’ says UBRD Marketing Director Alexei Merzlyakov.

‘This resulted in an increase in the number of card payments, including contactless ones. As we see customer service improvements and customer satisfaction as our top goals, we chose to keep investing in payment technologies and to launch Samsung Pay for MasterCard holders as well.’

Samsung Pay is a safe and convenient payment service that can be used anywhere where regular plastic gets accepted (either contactless or magnetic stripe type); the system relies on two different technologies: Near Field Communication and Samsung’s own Magnetic Secure Transmission.

Samsung Pay is available on all Samsung devices as well as any mobile devices that support both NFC and Samsung MST.
