Sverdlovsk Region: 16 Hotels Overcharge on World Cup Days

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, June 7, 2018. Sverdlovsk Region division of the federal consumer rights watchdog Rospotrebnadzor inspected websites of 227 local hotels and made unscheduled checks of 283 hotels to determine sixteen cases of overcharging, the agency’s press service reports.

Now the Russian Government set up certain upper price limits on the game dates for the hotels operating in the World Football Championship-hosting cities.

Following the checks, the Maxim Hotel Ural, the Hotel Sky, and the Evrazia had to face administrative liability based on Article 14.6 (Part 1) of the Administrative Offense Code; Gavryushin S.V., the Khalmaks, the August Hotel, Kochnev & Co, the Slavyanka Hotel, and Zemtsova V.V. had to face administrative liability based on Article 14.4 (Part 1) of the Administrative Offense Code; and seven more accommodation services (he Maxim Hotel Ural, the Hotel Development Company, the Evrazia, the Luna, the Avtorskaya Gostinitsa, the Gamayun, and the Richmond got issued special warnings.
