Russia Might Stop Supplying Titanium to U.S.

UrBC, Moscow, April 16, 2018. In case the counter-sanctions bill gets adopted in response to the United States’ anti-Russia policies, Russia will stop supplying titanium needed for making Boeing planes to America, RIA Novosti refers to Council of the Federation’s Chair of Budget Committee Sergey Ryabukhin as stating.
The State Duma is currently considering a draft bill on reacting to the U.S.’ actions; among the proposals are a ban/a limitation on the U.S. parties taking goods and equipment made from rare metals out of the country.
Titanium, which is needed in Boeing’s production cycle, is one of the rare metals Russia supplies to the States,’ Ryabukhin said.
Now Sverdlovsk Region-based VSMPO Avisma Corporation is currently the world’s largest titanium producer. America’s The Boeing Company is one of the Russian enterprise’s key customers.
