Sverdlovsk Region Transfers RUR 84bn to Russia’s Budget

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, April 11, 2018. RUR 84bn got transferred to Sverdlovsk Region’s budget in January-March 2018, which exceeded the figures for one year earlier by 16%, or RUR 11.6bn, Russia’s Federal Tax Service’s local division reports.
RUR 29.5bn got paid to the federal budget (up 18.2%, or RUR 4.5bn, on the first quarter of 2017). Most of the money (78.6%, or RUR 23.2bn) came from VAT payments; this amount exceeded the figures for one year earlier by 13.6%, or RUR 2.8bn.
RUR 2.5bn came in from VAT payments relating to goods imported to Russia from Belarus and Kazakhstan (up 17.4%, or RUR 0.3bn, on a year earlier).
RUR 3.8bn came in from corporate tax, which exceeded the figures for a year earlier by 1.6 times, or by RUR 1.4bn.
