MMK Directs RUR 270m to Workers’ Healthcare in 2017

UrBC, Magnitogorsk, April 2, 2018. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) allocated RUR 271.8m to cover its employees’ medical bills and to implement a number of medical projects last year, the company’s Information, PR & Advertising Department reports.
MMK makes a special focus on helping its employees keep healthy. The plant has been investing in its Magnitogorsk Metallurgists’ Health Projects for many decades now. The project’s main goal is to ensure disease prevention among all employee categories. The workers can use the medical and health-improving services on offer as part of their private health insurance scheme provided by the company.
Twenty-one employees went to stay in medical clinics in Russia and abroad based on doctors’ orders last year. 2,224 employees had their dentist’s bills partially covered by the company, and they had the option of choosing among eleven different dentists at that.
