Sverdlovsk Region: Court Officers Collect RUR 4bn on Bank Loans
19 March 2018 (09:43)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, March 19, 2018. Sverdlovsk Region division of Russia’s Federal Service of Court Officers collected some RUR 4bn in bank loan debts, deputy head of the service Elena Sidorova said at a press conference today.
According to Sidorova, court officers had to handle a greater number of enforcement proceedings cases this year because more debt collection-related claims got placed with courts.
‘We can report an increased number of paperwork related to debt collection. The greatest number of the amounts collected last year was to do with consumer loans issued by Tinkoff Bank and Home Credit; in terms of amounts themselves, these tended to be large-scale loans, mostly,’ Sidorova said.
All in all, court officers made debtors of all kinds pay RUR 19bn last year, including RUR6.6bn that got transferred to consolidated budget, RUR 400m that got transferred to federal budget, RUR 666m that were paid in fines, and RUR 450m that were paid in wage arrears.
Additionally, 9,500 property sequestration warrants got issued in 2017 (total amount: RUR 9.5bn), including 2bn RUR worth of assets that got later sold through Rosreyestr.
