According to the scheme, the railroad link will connect Beloyarsky, Aramid, and Sysert in Sverdlovsk Region to Kasli, Sosnovsky, Kunashaksky, and Krasnoarmeysky in Chelyabinsk Region.

The plan means Yekaterinburg-Passazhirskiy Station, Shartash Station, and Chelyabinsk Main Station will all have to get reconstructed. There will also appear new stations along the way: Koltsovo UVSM and Sysert UVSM in Sverdlovsk Region and Snezhinsk UVSM, Suleimanovo UVSM, and Balandino UVSM in Chelyabinsk Region.

The railroad is expected to service 49 pairs of trains a day.
