UrBC, Yekaterinburg, February 13, 2018. A new-format post office (Post Office of The Future) opened in Yekaterinburg’s Akademicheskiy District today.

Governor of Sverdlovsk Oblast Evgeny Kuivashev, Head of Yekaterinburg Council Alexander Yakob, Director of Russian Post Ural Dmitri Kisselev, and RSG-Akademicheskoye’s top managers all attended the opening ceremony in Akademik Sakharov St.

The new outlet is going to become one of Yekaterinburg’s largest post offices. A 100-square-meter office houses a parcel dispatch and delivery center, a customer service area, five customer counters, an automated parcel terminal, and a 24/7 service corner. The working hours are from 8 AM to 8 PM.

‘The new post office is bound to become a very popular one. New residents arrive in Akademicheskiy all the time, so the demand for posting services is quite high. We intend to deliver at least 1,200 parcels a day here. The outlet relies on the most advanced posting technologies.
