PNTZ Invests RUR 70m in Green Projects

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, February 7, 2018. Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant (PNTZ) invested over RUR 70m in environmental projects last year, the plant’s Managing Director Alexei Dronov said at a recent meeting of Sverdlovsk Oblast Union of Industrialists & Entrepreneurs.

‘I see this environmentally-oriented partnership between the city of Pervouralsk and the plant as a very positive one. We did more than RUR 70m worth of projects last year alone. For one, a new emission monitoring unit got installed in town; also, we purchased additional equipment to do soil and discharge tests. We know exactly if and when a particular maximum permissible discharge limit has been exceeded. We therefore can prevent any unauthorized harmful emissions,’ Dronov said.

PNTZ Managing Director also commented on working together with the local government in the social sector.

‘We cooperate splendidly together. Sverdlovsk Oblast Education Ministry provided some funds to set up job-guidance classes at Pervouralsk schools. The classes will open on September 1. In fact, all those present at today’s forum are welcome to come and see the opening. I believe this is a breakthrough in the local secondary education sector,’ Dronov said.
