UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 28, 2017. A new project was embarked upon at EVRAZ Holding’s Evrazruda’s Abagurskaya Processing Plant to boost the grinding department’s productivity, the holding’s press service reports.
Four grinding mills will get replaced with the more efficient ones, and a new, fifth mill will be added. The assembly and startup jobs will all be finished in the summer of 2018. The project’s overall cost is estimated at RUR 140m.
These upgrades are expected to increase primary concentrate output by 200,000,000 kg a year (up to 6,500,000,000 kg altogether).
Abagurskaya Processing Plant uses primary iron ore concentrate from Kazsky, Sheregeshsky, and Tashtagolsky Mines. Once the ore has been re-prepared, the stuff gets supplied to EVRAZ Holding’s West Siberian Integrated Metallurgical Works (ZSMK).
