UrBC, Yekaterinburg, October 4, 2017. Sverdlovsk Region’s public prosecution authorities are currently working on the list of legal entities and sole traders to get inspected in 2018, the authorities’ press service reports.

‘The first stage of inspection-planning involved looking into the preliminary check schedules of legal entities and sole traders for the year 2018 (some 5,800 inspections all in all, down 940 on a year earlier). Prosecutors have already canceled 440 ungrounded inspections on this list so far,’ the press service says.

Among the canceled inspections are the ones that were to have been carried by Sverdlovsk Region division of Rospotrebnadzor (the consumer rights watchdog), Sverdlovsk Region division of Russia’s Ministry of Emergencies, the local division of the Internal Affairs Ministry’s Federal Authority for Road Traffic Safety, and local government bodies.

‘The checks got mainly cancelled because they had been put on the list despite a moratorium on inspections of certain SMEs in 2016-2018; also, in some cases the targeted companies’ data did not match their Uniform State Register of Legal Entities or Unified State Register of Private Entrepreneurs information. Besides, in some cases it was too early to inspect a company again after the last check or registration date,’ the press service explains.

At the same time, some of the legal entities and sole traders operating in the area will have to undergo checks by several regulatory bodies at once, which is why the public prosecution authorities suggested that the schedule for such joint checks should be coordinated by November 1.

The second planning stage involves coordinating checks of one and the same business by several regulatory authorities at one.
