13 July 2017 (13:00)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 13, 2017. Nearly a quarter of all apartments currently for sale on Yekaterinburg housing market are under 33 m2 large, N1 reports.
The smallest (and least expensive) homes — under 20 m2 big — can be found in three parts of the city: Elmash (19%), near the bus station (18%), and Uralmash (17%). These are mostly studio apartments in the older buildings.
Homes under 33 m2 large are available on the existing home market and in the newly commissioned buildings in Uktus, Shirokaya Rechka, and Vtuzgorodok.
‘Studio apartments vary in size greatly. The smallest ones range in area from 16 m2 to 33 m2. Most families consider this their temporary home and try to move to a larger place as soon as possible,’ says head of N1.RU Yekaterinburg Oxana Sidletskaya.
According to N1.RU, a 17 m2 apartment can be had for 1.4m RUR, a 30 m2 one is on offer for 2m RUR on average. The smallest existing homes grew 4.5% less expensive in the course of last year all in all.
