14 February 2017 (13:03)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, February 14, 2017. The first group of children from schools based in Akademicheskiy District in Yekaterinburg went to join an educational program in Camp Sirius in Sochi; this is a special camp for gifted kids, RSG-Akademicheskoye’s press service reports.
Renova Charity Foundation sponsored these children’s ten-day camp stay at Sirius, with a focus on the sciences. The plan is to work on science projects in an interactive format. The young researchers will learn about circuits engineering, micro control unit programming, digital design, and 3D printing.
All in all, around a hundred Yekaterinburg kids will be able to spend time at Sirius throughout this year thanks to Renova’s support. In addition to educational programs (which are offered free of charge), Renova will also sponsor professional development seminars for teachers from Akademicheskiy District-based schools.
