UrBC, Chelyabinsk, August 20, 2018. Students from Children’s Singing School (set up at ChelPipe Group’s shareholder Andrei Komarov’s initiative) performed at ChelPipe Group-supported Yelanchik Summer Camp, the company press service reports.
The young singers presented a portion of Look At Me Flying!, a family musical; together with their teachers, they also coordinated a first-stage casting session among the campers.
‘Taking part in a casting session is a great opportunity for gifted children to reveal their hidden talents. This is the opportunity we gave the children at Yelanchik today. Contestants who make it through the first two selection rounds will be invited to join our singing school and will be able to perform on stage alongside professionals at Chelyabinsk Opera & Ballet House,’ says ChelPipe Group’s Head of Social & Charity Projects Olga Stebunova.
Children’s Singing School opened as part of M.I. Glinka Chelyabinsk Opera & Ballet House in April 2017. There are currently seventy children tutored by experienced teachers, stage directors, choreographers, and musicians there; the young students focus on opera singing, acting, choreography, and speech training. Thanks to ChelPipe Group’s funding, all classes are free to attend.
