Yekaterinburg: 2,757 kg of Sanctioned Foods Destroyed

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, February 1, 2017. Rosselkhoznadzor, customs, and Federal Security Service officers confiscated and destroyed 2,757 kg of sanctioned fruit and vegetables in Yekaterinburg today.
According to Rosselkhoznadzor’s Sverdlovsk Region division’s press service, import-embargoed foods were found at Warehouse 4 during a pop-up inspection. Crates full of napa cabbage (1,134 kg) and apples (180 kg) were marked as coming from Poland and those full of pears were marked as coming from Guinea over Belarus, which is against the existing regulations.
There were also 423 kg of cauliflower of unknown country of origin at the warehouse, with no tags and no accompanying documents.
All the foods found at the warehouse were destroyed.
