Ural Vagon Zavod Makes 2 of World’s Top 5 Military Vehicles

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, January 13, 2017. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s T90 tank and Buratino TOS 1 heavy flamethrower made it to the list of World’s Top 5 military vehicles last year according to China Military, the company press service reports.
‘Our T90 tank made at the corporation’s head plant is on top of this list. According to China Military, this was the primary and most important armored vehicle for the Syrian Government’s armed forces. It is reported that the Russian tank proved both useful in the fight against local Islamist groups and surprisingly destruction-proof,’ the press service says.
The other item on China Military’s list is Omsktransmash’s TOS 1 Buratino.
‘In addition to Syria, Russian weaponry was also used in Iraq. This heavy flamethrower is probably the most well-known item and the perfect weapon to wipe literally everything off the face of the earth within a 300 m2 range. It is described at ‘simple and tough’. Our experience in Mosul has shown Buratino is one of the most efficient weapons to fight terrorists,’ the press service says.
