29 December 2016 (14:54)

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 29, 2016. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant (ChTZ) supplied four B10M.600 bulldozers to Chukotka by order of the company Iceberg, the corporation’s press service reports.

According to the company’s Far East Sales Director Anton Sokolov, the bulldozers were first sent to Vladivostok by rail and then to a place called Lavrentia by sea. From there, the vehicles traveled to smaller settlements; the bulldozer meant for the remote location Neshkan, inhabited by hunters and reindeer breeders, had to be taken there by helicopter.

Neshkan is located within 270 km of Lavrentia. The only way to deliver the bulldozer there was by helicopter. MI26, currently the world’s largest serially produced helicopter (freight capacity: 20,000 kg), had to be used for the purpose. The tractor itself drove up the freight compartment, while the attachable blade had to be loaded separately, and everything got delivered to Neshkan safely.
