ChTZ to Supply 3 Bulldozers to Chukotka Airports

February 7, 2013. Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant (a member of Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation) is to supply three bulldozers to the state-run Chukotka Airports, the corporation’s press officer reports.
It is reported that the vehicles have already been manufactured, but they will only be delivered in the spring so that the bulldozers could arrive in the Far Eastern port by the time the sailing season starts. From there, these will be taken to their final destinations.
The B-10M bulldozers will be used at the airports in Chukotka’s smack villages where only air travel is actually available. The bulldozers are bound to keep busy in this land of harsh climate, especially in the snowy northern winters, the press release says.
The company points out that the customer chose the simple and reliable mass-produced tractor make with the plant’s D-180 engine. All the vehicles will come in northern modification (an engine starting pre-heater and double window panes and a radiator in the pit).
