28 September 2016 (10:13)

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 28, 2016. Sverdlovsk Region division of Rospotrebnadzor (the state consumer rights watchdog) inspected 16,300 kg of dairy foods in the first half of 2016; 2,500 kg, or 15.1% of these failed quality tests (compared with 24.6% in the first half of 2015), the agency’s press service reports.

‘The faulty items are the same ones as last year: these are the foods that fail to comply with the existing normative requirements, technological quality requirements, and adulteration checks,’ the press service says.

Rospotrebnadzor picked and inspected 316 dairy food samples in terms of organoleptic and physical parameters (fat and moisture content, acidity, sugar and protein content, MSNF, and fatty-acid profile) as well as in terms of microbiological properties; 72 samples (22.8%) did not meet the existing standards.
