UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 27, 2016. The telecommunications provider MegaFon now offers HD Voice services all over Sverdlovsk Region; the new option improves voice and sound quality during a telephone call, the company press service reports.
‘HD Voice is one way to ensure minimal sound loss and maximum speech intelligibility. It is as though the person you’re talking to is in the next room rather than at the other end of the line. Thanks to a broadband connection, HD Voice enhances speech intelligibility, makes all the word endings sound very clear, and improves sound recognition,’ says Director of MegaFon’s Sverdlovsk Region division Alexei Voronin.
According to MegaFon, a regular telephone connection works at 300 to 3,400 Hertz, while high-definition technologies allow for a 500 to 7,000 Hertz range. As a result, the sound grows extremely clear and several times more intelligible.
