UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 4, 2016. Yurga Machine-Building Plant (a member enterprise of Ural Vagon Zavod) paid its 85m-ruble tax debt, the company press service reports.

‘The plant is currently undergoing a reformation period to increase its competitiveness and is, for example, producing machines at (almost) prime cost. The company has nearly no funds available, so all the advance payments get directed to salaries and wages and purchasing supplies necessary to make the machines. Despite the economic difficulties, the plant still managed to pay over 85m RUR to Kemerovo Region’s budget in June 2016,’ the press service says.

For one, the plant paid 49m RUR in private income tax, 18.3m RUR in value-added tax, 16.3m RUR in property tax, 1.1m RUR in land tax, and 1m RUR in transport tax. The company reports this is their largest tax payment in the last few years. The management is fully aware of how important it is to fill Kemerovo Region’s budget and thus found a way to make these considerable tax payments.
