UBRD Customers Use Interbank Transfers More Often

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, June 21, 2016. Customers of the Ural Bank for Reconstruction & Development (UBRD) have been using the bank-to-bank MasterCard/MoneySend/Visa Direct transfer options increasingly more often, the bank’s press service reports.
The number of such transactions rose by 20% in May 2016 against one year earlier; the amount of money transferred also rose by 28% and reached some 100m RUR a month.
According to UBRD Card Management Director Alexei Piskunov, the increase is mainly brought about by the fact that customers can see the benefits of convenient and very fast administration of their accounts.
‘We can see our customers prefer to deal with their financial issues as quickly as possible, and now they don’t need to set foot in our branches and deal with tellers. Bank-to-bank transfers proved a very viable alternative to the old-style money orders,’ Piskunov says.
