UrBC, Yekaterinburg, June 9, 2016. Russian Copper Company got a new overhead crane for its member enterprise Kyshtym Copper Electrolysis Plant, the company press service reports.

‘The plant keeps working on equipment renovation in all respects, from technological processes to retooling to buying up-to-date machinery and special-purpose vehicles. For one, all the primary overhead cranes have been renovated or replaced two decades after the copper-smelting department was introduced at the plant. The first crane got replaced in 2012, the second one arrived here in the spring,’ the press service says.

The OHC with the freight capacity of 20,000 kg (principal load) and 10,000 kg (ancillary load) was purchased from a crane manufacturing plant in Naberezhnye Chelny after the latter was chosen in the course of an auction in 2015. The modern crane has a security system that registers all of its performance parameters to limit its load if necessary. The lifting and moving operations are all controlled with the help of frequency converters. The comfortable crane cabin allows for customized microclimate settings.
