UrBC, Yekaterinburg, March 3, 2016. The Russian Federation Government intends to distribute 3.47bn RUR among family farms in seventy-four different constituencies, the Cabinet’s website states.

Under the government’s decree, Sverdlovsk Region’s private farmers are going to get 23m RUR, while those based in Kurgan Region will be allocated 28.985m RUR.

The Government also recently decided to support the Mid-Urals’ farmers with 17.409m RUR.

Starting-up farmers complained last year that they found it impossible to get state subsidies. For example, one has to be officially out of job to be eligible to apply. This made it difficult for the aspiring businesspeople to take out a bank loan and start their own business.
