Yekaterinburg welcomes over 2m visitors this year

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 17, 2015. Yekaterinburg incoming tourist traffic came to 2.1m people in the eleven months of 2015, the city council’s deputy head Sergei Tushin said in his interview to Open Studio. Yekaterinburg on Channel 41.
‘These figures definitely prove that our authorities’ continuous efforts to promote local tourist services have been successful. The steps we take to make the city’s economy more diverse result in various points of tourist attraction in Yekaterinburg,’ the official said.
Tushin said companies organizing tours along the Trans-Siberian routes were key players on the local tourist market.
‘Following the opening of the B.N. Yeltsin Presidential Center here, people on these tours prefer to stay a bit longer in Yekaterinburg in order to pay a visit to this unique site,’ he said.
