UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 20, 2015. The overall amount of Sverdlovsk Region residents’ past-due credit card debts rose by 3.2% in the third quarter of 2015 and came to 20.8% of the entire debt amount, the National Bureau of Credit History reports.

The overall amount of locals’ past-due car loan repayments went up by 0.2% and reached 7.7%.

According to the Bureau, the amount of past-due loan repayments stood at its highest in August and September (21.3% of all consumer loan debts, 17.1% of all credit card debts, 8.3% of all car loan debts, and 4.3% of all mortgage debts).

‘The overall amount of past-due debt repayments has tended to increase in the last two years, while the amount of newly issued loans has tended to decline. This means the older ‘good’ loans have been repaid faster than the newer ones have been given out and the older ‘bad’ loans have remained the creditors’ problem and have reached their upper limit by the fall of 2015,’ says the Bureau Director-General Alexander Vikulin.
