MegaFon Ural now has 6m subscribers

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 17, 2015. 6m customers subscribed to MegaFon Ural as their mobile communication provider within the thirteen years of the company’s market presence.

According to the provider’s press service, they have so far offered their customers 115bn minutes worth of conversation time and handled 6.4bn text messages. Apart from that, the subscribers’ Internet traffic rose by 50% in the first quarter of 2015 alone against a year earlier.

‘Our primary focus is on providing highest quality service. We have expanded our network by 1.5 times in the last three years, for one. Over 10,000 base stations and more than 21,000 km of optic fiber lines ensure reliability of the connection we offer. It’s important that customers in the Urals recognize our efforts, and 6m customers is a proof that we are doing everything right,’ says MegaFon Ural Director Valeriy Velichko.

MegaFon offers discounts on large amounts of traffic and offers advantageous terms to business customers. So far, 35,000 Greater Urals-based companies have chosen MegaFon as their telecommunications provider.

Ongoing service improvement is one of the company’s top priorities. 94% to 95% of subscribers say they are happy with the quality of service; average waiting time for the call center operator comes to 1 minute, and online services respond within a matter of seconds.
