UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 13, 2015. Russian Industry & Trade Minister Denis Manturov and Russian Railways’ First Vice President Alexander Misharin paid a visit to Uralvagonzavod Corporation/UVZ stand on the second day of the Innoprom Exhibition, the corporation’s press service reports.
The company DG Oleg Sienko gave his guests a guided tour of the stand and told them about the promising developments created by the corporation’s member enterprises. Special attention was paid to the latest B11.8000 bulldozer, a product co-developed by ChTZ-Uraltrac and the Chinese machine-building holding Shandong Heavy Industry Group.
UVZ Deputy DG for Technological Development Boris Lazebnik took part in an expert panel discussion on the global industrial import replacement experience. He shared the company’s experience in the area and pointed out that, just like many other Russian manufacturers, UVZ saw import replacement issues as both challenges and opportunities and new growth points.
‘Equipment suppliers from China, Korea, and other Asian countries are our new source of attracting new technologies. It is there that we look for and find new partners for retooling projects. Import replacement programs definitely present new opportunities for civilian vehicle manufacturers, so UVZ will make every effort to benefit from these opportunities,’ Lazebnik said.
