UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 8, 2015. A countdown timer indicating the time left till the 10th Russia Arms Expo begins was installed at Yekaterinburg’s Koltsovo Airport. The arms and munitions exhibition will be held on September 9-12.
Uralvagonzavod Corporation, the event’s general coordinator, reports this is the second timer of this kind, the first one having been installed in Nizhniy Tagil’s main square in April. The opening ceremony was conducted by the city mayor Sergey Nosov.
‘Russia Arms Expo is closely connected to Yekaterinburg: six local hotels have already joined the exhibition as the event’s official partners; these hotels will coordinate guest transfer onto the exhibition site. Visitors to the RAE will be able to register for the exhibition at Koltsovo Airport and at the Park Inn Ekaterinburg Hotel the day before the opening. Besides, tickets to the exhibition and to the vehicle show will be available at the city’s booking offices,’ the company’s press service says.
Russia Arms Expo is one of the world’s leading military exhibitions; the number of exhibits on display rose to 2,500 between 1999 and 2015, with over fifty different countries taking part. In 2013, 20,943 people came to the RAE, including 467 foreign subjects from forty delegations from Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and North America. That year’s event was covered by over 800 media reporters from thirteen different countries.
