Uralvagonzavod’s monthly pay goes up 8.6% in 2014

May 6, 2015. Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s head plant assessed the efficiency of its collective agreement in 2014. The agreement is valid through 2017 and was signed in accordance with the Russian legislation. The set of socioeconomic and other projects it lays out is targeted at meeting output figures, staff recruitment and retention, and enhancing labor productivity, the corporation’s press service reports.
The company directed 12.2bn RUR to workers’ wages, with the average monthly pay coming to 32,842 RUR, which exceeds the figures for a year earlier (30,254 RUR) by 8.6%. Besides, this monthly pay figure is 12.3% higher than Sverdlovsk Region’s average and 7.5% higher than Nizhniy Tagil’s average.
The plant took on 3,124 new workers last year, compared with 2,851 people a year earlier. 60% of the new staff are people under thirty years of age. Arc welders, repair technicians, and crane operators were the most wanted professions.
15,163 workers went on blue-collar skills training programs, with 1,827 workers getting initial training, 341 people getting re-trained, 1,245 people acquiring a second set of qualifications, and 8,810 people taking part in professional development seminars. The company directed 44.3m RUR to these training programs.
