Dmitri Rogozin coordinates RAE 2015 meeting

March 5, 2015. Russian Vice Premier Dmitri Rogozin chaired a meeting of the 10th International Arms, Military Vehicles & Munitions RussiaArmsExpo 2015 Exhibition’s coordination committee at the Government House.
According to the press service of Uralvagonzavod Corporation (the event’s general coordinator), Rogozin stressed in his opening address that the exhibition in Nizhniy Tagil was a large-scale and serious event, and every effort should be made to make sure it becomes a success.
Deputy Industry & Trade Minister Alexander Potapov, who spoke on behalf of his department, presented a detailed preparation plan and explained rental contracts were signed for 1,500 m2 worth of exhibition space within the pavilions and 2,500 m2 worth of outdoor sites with the defense enterprises. Negotiations with companies from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Angola, India, Indonesia, the Republic of South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, and China are also in progress.
Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s Director-General Oleg Sienko reported, in his turn, on the improvements made to the exhibition infrastructure in order to make sure RAE 2015 is as grand as the major global events. He said, for one, that additional stands for 2,300 extra spectators would be built in the guest area, as well as a modern (and very fast) VIP security check and a special pavilion for displaying promising developments. Besides, extra safety precautions will be taken when getting the combat vehicles ready for demonstration. The helipad and the surrounding driveways will be renovated, as will be the raceways and the vehicle parking spots.
