November 12, 2014. Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant (ChTZ Uraltrac, a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation) shipped two TR 20 pipe-layers to one of the Crimea’s major contractors dealing in the construction of pipelines, the Corporation’s press service reports.
The machines with the capacity of 20,000 kg were fitted with nine-meter booms upon the customer’s request; this is two meters longer than a standard boom.
The machines will have an important mission to accomplish: six kilometers worth of plumbing have to be built using 1,000mm pipes by December 10. The launch of this plumbing system will ensure an independent water supply to the peninsula.
According to the corporation’s press service, one of ChTZ pipe-layers has already arrived in Feodosiya, while the other one is still waiting to be loaded onto the ferry in Kerch. The customer has already received the plant’s B10M bulldozer: this is also being used in the construction process. The bulldozer proves useful in clearing and smoothing out the location where the pipelines are to be assembled and installed.
‘Our dealer in Krasnodar Territory, TechService ChTZ, will be responsible for warranty and after-sale services. This company has supplied our goods to the Crimea before: two TR 20 pipe-layers were delivered to one of the local construction companies, and one B10M bulldozer, which was shipped in October, will be used at the Crimean port,’ the press service says.
