September 23, 2014. Alain Robert, the rock and urban climber known as ‘the French Spider-Man’, is going to visit 100+ Forum Russia in Yekaterinburg, the city council’s press service reports.

‘Residents of and visitors to the Urals’ capital will enjoy watching the ‘Spider-Man’ climb Vysotsky Tower at 2PM on September 24,’ the press service says.

Robert has climbed over 70 skyscrapers all over the world. Since most of his conquests are made without the authorities or the building owners’ consent, he was arrested several dozen times in many different countries, which actually secured him an entry in the Guinness Book of Records.

‘100+ Forum Russia is an international high-rise construction forum. The main idea behind the event is to create a unique, ever-functioning expertise and information-sharing center on issues relating to high-rise construction in Russia as well as to adopt a set of measures that are necessary to ensure and enhance the development of skyscraper industry in this country. The forum is expected to be held in Yekaterinburg on a yearly or on a biannual basis. This year, the event will be hosted by the Hyatt Regency Yekaterinburg Hotel (8 Boris Yeltsin St).
