Uralvagonzavod Corporationís head plant to start making metal sections

September 18, 2014. Uralvagonzavod Corporationís head plant in Nizhniy Tagil will start making metal sections of their own; this project will take 18 months to complete and up to three years to pay off, the corporationís press service reports.

ĎThe new subdivision will be housed on the premises of the head plantís railway carriage assembly department and will be fitted with the most advanced equipment and technologies. Relying on these will allow the plant to manufacture high quality metal sections from modern materials meant for the railway, road-building, agricultural, and other vehicles as well as for light rail kinds of transport,í the corporationís press service says.

The plantís production facilities make it possible for the plant to fully cover its metal section needs as well as provide the corporationís other member enterprises with them. These enterprises are, among others: ChTZ Uraltrac (Chelyabinsk), Uralvagonzavodís Volchansk subsidiary, and Uraltransmash (Yekaterinburg).
