September 9, 2014. Uraltransmash (a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation) summed up the results of its Company’s Best Turner Contest, the corporation’s press service reports.

‘The contest took place at two of Uraltransmash production sites and consisted of two stages: the first one was purely theoretical, and contestants had to answer twenty-two multiple choice questions. During the second, practical, stage, they had to make an adaptor plug on a turning lathe. Winners were determined based on the points scored at both stages of the contest.

Alexander Semenov from the centralized repair department was declared the best turner. Semenov has been working at Uraltransmash for nearly three decades. Turner from PTK 860 mechanical assembly production facility Alexei Dolgikh was the second best turner, and the third prize went to turner from PTK 750 production facility Alexander Sabitov.

Turner from PTK 750 tool-making production facility Roman Vilachev won in the Youngest Contestant category.

At the end of the contest, all the participants were given certificates and valuable gifts.
